Real Food Whole People
An in-network functional nutritionist who specializes in disordered eating patterns for queer athletes.

Kristin Schaefer(she/they)
MS, CNS, LDN
As a non-binary, queer nutritionist, I am dedicated to helping athletes with disordered eating patterns achieve optimal health and performance. My approach integrates evidence-based nutritional therapy with a focus on whole foods, herbs, and hydration to address the unique needs of my clients.
In our sessions, we will discuss topics beyond food, including stress, sleep, physical activity, and socialization, to identify areas of imbalance and explore potential interventions. As a functional nutritionist, I like to meet my clients where they are. We go at your pace, and intuitively learn how to listen to what your body's needs are. As an endurance athlete who struggled with a relationship with my body throughout my teens, I understand firsthand the body dysmorphia many queer athletes face. My goal is to challenge binary research and practices, offering a safe and authentic environment for my clients to thrive and learn self-acceptance.
